I’m Just Me.
I am a happy little outsider artist working out of my very small studio in my home. I’m not famous, I am not in museums, or galleries. I don’t do the art scene or party down with the in-crowd. I’m just me, a simple artist, happy being who I am doing what I do. Nevertheless there are a very few collectors of my work, for whom, I am very thankful that they enjoy my work.
Style
As you can see, I have a style, I enjoy painting in. I’ve been painting most of my life and I’m well into my grandpa years. Even though I have been painting for a long time, I only got serious about it in the last 16 years or so. I love to experiment, although my artistic tools and materials are fairly traditional.
Art with a Voice
I mainly work in acrylic paint on canvas. I love color, boldness but slip into subtlety more often than not. Truth is, on most paintings, I have no idea how a painting will end up until it’s finished. I will usually orient and title the work depending on what the painting says to me, but the real test of the art is if it says something to you. That is where the rubber meets the road.
Speaks to You?
If the art does not speak to you, leave it for someone who will appreciate and become caretaker for it, but if you are that person… attracted to the artwork, It speaks to you and there it has begin to attach itself to you? You like it that much. Then you should get it for yourself.
